Gift Idea for Christmas

Christmas is not a date, it’s an event. I don’t know what Marry Chase was thinking when she said this, maybe she was reflecting on the people who want, ‘Nothing’ for Christmas. Of course no one wants, ‘Nothing’ for Christmas. Everyone wants something. Hey just don’t know what they want and let people torture themselves trying to find appropriate christmas gifts for them.

I know for a fact that they really want something. Last year, everyone who told me not to get them a Gifts for christmas and those that said they didn’t want anything got just that. Nothing! I can now tell you first hand what a cold shoulder is. I’ve been living on the Antarctica of cold shoulders since last Christmas. Apparently Christmas is an entire event in finding the right gifts for Christmas. Gifts for mom, dad, the kids and the people at work.

The list is endless and while mom and dad are usually easy, getting a decent gift for the people at work and finding Unique christmas gifts for the kids is an entirely different story. A refined skill in my opinion. So Christmas shopping is difficult for me to say the least. I usually get my kids clothes, something that they’ll actually use. And they do use them. They use them to keep the table clean. So I’m practically at my wits end with these people who want ‘Nothing’ for Christmas and my kids who want ‘everything’ for Christmas.

I should introduce them to each other so they can come to a nice settlement between themselves and then let me know what will make a nice christmas gift . Of course this isn’t happening so I’ve been looking for this year’s event. I was ready to go with the traditional christmas gift baskets , until I found out that Christmas gift baskets have evolved. There is now a nice range of fruit for Christmas.

It’s like a gift basket only instead of coupons and certificates; it is filled with fruit and placed in nice Christmassy containers. The fruit is dipped in chocolate and looks like a lower bouquet. They were so nice to look at and I was so excited at finding the perfect gift for the ‘Nothing’ people and the ‘everything’ kids that I did nice little victory dance before I proceeded to order them online. I ordered them a little early for a few people whose cold shoulders were proving very obtrusive at work. Like Burt in accounting.

My paycheck has been a week late all year and I’ll need it pronto next month, so I sent him his christmas fruit gifts a little early. He loved the ‘nothing’ I got him and apologized for the year long accounting error with my paycheck. And I’ve had a lot of success with my christmas gifts of ‘nothing’. My neighbor has been keeping his dog off my lawn, the lady across the street has been returning all my mistakenly delivered mail and if my success with the Christmas fruit continues, then my mother should be sending me a nice pot roast recipe. The best part is that this works for my kids too. They love anything chocolate. Their rooms have been spotless for days. As Einstein would say, ‘Eureka!’
